Expo Revestir 2015, the International Forum of Architecture and Construction, which is set to take place between March 3rd and 6th 2015 at the Transamérica Expo Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil, will see the participation of 14 Italian floor- and wall- tiles manufacturers.
Among the exhibitors, under the umbrella of the brand Ceramics of Italy, there is a group of eight excellencies: Casalgrande Padana, Ceramiche Caesar, Ceramiche Cisa, Ornamenta, Edimax Beta Group, Marazzi, Marca Corona 1741, and Mirage Granito Ceramico. The group of eight is part of the companies in the Pavilhão Oficial Italiano de Revestimento, the Official Italian Pavilion organised by ICE – the Italian Trade Promotion Agency for the promotion of the internationalisation of Italian companies – in cooperation with Confindustria Ceramica – the Italian Association of ceramics. Revestir will see the participation of other renowned Italian ceramic companies with their independent stands: Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola, Gardenia Orchidea, Ceramica Sant’Agostino, Italgraniti, Laminam, Mapei.
At the Italian Pavilion a dedicated software will show how tiles can be installed according to the living spaces and ambient location people have chosen. The products on display are for industrial and residential use, for indoor and outdoor application, resistant to any volume of vehicle traffic, and combine the highest technical performance with an outstanding selection of designs.
Ceramics of Italy, the trademark promoted by Confindustria Ceramica and owned by Edi.Cer spa, the organizer of Cersaie – the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings (Bologna, Sept 28th – Oct 2nd 2015) has protected designers, architects and consumers for over 40 years, guaranteeing Italian authenticity and products of unparalleled standards and quality.
The Brazilian market is particularly good for high standard construction products for public and private housing. Revestir is the main exhibition in South America addressing a qualified audience of architects, interior decorators, contracts, buyers and distributors. Brazil is a booming country and its market is of great interest for the Italian ceramic industry. In 2014 consumption of ceramic tiles is estimated at almost 850 million sq metres, and sales are expected to rise in the next two years. The Italian ceramic tile industry – currently exporting 80% of production and operating abroad through factory plants – is looking with great interest at the Brazilian market and its potentialities although exports towards Brazil are not much more than 400 thousand sq metres per year. High tariff barriers and the need to adapt to the local market are two of the reasons why Italian tiles haven’t fully made it yet.
It will be a first for Ceramics of Italy in Singapore next March 10-13 when Italian ceramics will make its appearance at Maison & Objet Asia 2015, second edition of the International trade fair for interior design and home collection.
At Marina Bay Sands Exhibition Center the collective Ceramics of Italy, organised by Confindustria Ceramica and its subsidiary Edi.Cer and by ICE-Agency, will have two stands (F46-G45 and G46-H45) to host its 19 ceramic manufacturing companies: Ceramica Del Conca, Ascot, Ceramica Sant’Agostino, Coem, Cottoveneto, Edimax Gruppo Beta, Fap Ceramiche, Fincibec, Florim, Keope, M.I.P.A., Marazzi, Mirage Granito Ceramico, Nuovocorso, Ornamenta, Rondine, Simas, Target and Vallelunga&Co.
This is opening up a new window for Italian ceramic companies, finally getting onto an exclusive and international market through a creative and sophisticated venue such as Maison&Objet – which successfully takes place each year in Paris.
It is part of a strategic choice pointing at the big players of design and contract of Southeast Asia.
