Ceramics of Italy in Moscow for MosBuild

Ceramics of Italy is continuing its efforts to promote the excellence of Italian ceramics worldwide. This time the destination is Moscow for MosBuild 2013.

The Cersanex section of Russia’s most important exhibition for the building, surface coverings and interior furnishings sectors, now in its 18th edition, will be held from 16 to 19 April in the Expocentre.

Following exceptional growth and attendance figures in 2012 (2,300 exhibitors from 45 countries and more than 100,000 visitors from 64 countries in an exhibition floor of approximately 148,500 square metres), this year MosBuild is once again seeing strong participation by Italian companies. Their presence testifies to the show’s exceptional appeal to construction companies, installers, architects, interior designers as well as importers and distributors with sales networks covering the whole of Russia.

Almost 50 Italian ceramic companies have decided to take part, more than half of them housed in halls 8.1 and 8.2 around the 100 square metre collective Ceramics of Italy stand, which stands out for its warm, hospitable atmosphere and strongly Italian design. These companies are: ABK, Alfa Lux, Ariana, Atlas Concorde, Brennero, Casa Dolce Casa,  Casalgrande Padana, Casamood, Ceramica Alta, Ceramiche Caesar, Ceramiche Coem, Ceramiche Keope, Ceramiche Ricchetti, Ceramica Sant’Agostino, Ceramiche Tiffany, Caramica Vallelunga, Cerdisa, Cerim, Cisa Ceramiche, Del Conca, Emilceramica, Ergon, Fap Ceramiche, Flaviker Pisa, Florim, Floor Gres, Gardenia Orchidea, Italon, Kale Italia, Kerama Marazzi, Lord Ceramica, Love Ceramic Tiles, Litokol, Novabell, Pastorelli, Rex, Roberto Cavalli Home Luxury Tiles, Saime San Prospero, Savoia Italia, Serenissima, Settecento Mosaici e ceramiche d’arte, Tagina and Zeus.

The institutional space (stand no. T 111), an outstanding showcase of the tradition, innovation and creativity of the Italian tile industry, will be housed in the Italian Pavilion (Pav. 8, hall 1) during the four days of Cersanex.

This year the show will be spread out over two separate weeks: Building&Interiors and Fenestration from 2 to 5 April (for building materials, plumbing, doors and locks, floor and wall covering materials and equipment, lighting, tools, interior finishes, paints and coatings, wall décor, country living, gates and automation, fireproof equipment) and Cersanex from 16 to 19 April (ceramics and ceramic machinery and technology, bathrooms, pool, sauna and spa, and stone).

The ceramic industry will be taking part in the Cersanex section in Pavilion 8 – Halls 1 and 2, and in Pavilion 2 – Hall 1, together with bathroom furnishings in the Forum.

As always, one of the highlights of the exhibition will be the 6th edition of the Confindustria Ceramica  Russian  Distributor Award assigned to a major Russian distributor that has excelled in the promotion of Italian ceramics. The judges’ criteria will include loyalty to Italian products, expertise, professionalism and solvency, fair business practices and turnover. This year’s award will be collected by Mr. Ismail Akhmetov from the Moscow-based distributor BARS – KERAMITCHESKIJ GRANIT in the award ceremony held at the stand at 4.30 p.m. on 17 April.

Once again in 2013, Confindustria Ceramica is organising a series of meetings with a select group of architecture practices and prominent figures from the world of real estate, who have been invited to the show specially to meet Italian business leaders during two days devoted to the tour of Ceramics of Italy companies. The initiative is organised in cooperation with a number of Russian design and architecture magazines, who will provide adequate editorial support for the Italian companies, and prefigures the Cersaie Business 2013 project promoting networking between Italian companies and international key players.

Mosbuild combines its strongly international appeal with a strategic location in the highly dynamic Russian market, where investments in construction over the last decade have seen sustained growth in both the residential and commercial segments.

The figures for the growth of the ceramic tile market are particularly significant and include shipments of more than 185 million square metres last year (compared to 170 million square metres in 2011). Further growth is forecast for 2013 (200 million sq.m). Equally importantly, Italian exports reached 5.5 million square metres in 2012 (15% up on 2011), to a value of more than 145 million euro (+19%), corresponding to an average price of almost 27 euro per square metre.
