Maison & Objet 2012: seventeen Italian ceramic companies take part in the Paris show

The world of design will once again be converging on the French capital for a show where Italian ceramic companies will enjoy pride of place. Maison & Objet 2012, a trade fair catering for creatives and interior design professionals, will be held in the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition centre from 20 to 24 January. For the second time, this year’s show will see the collective participation “Ceramics of Italy” of 17 Italian companies: Appiani, Atlas Concorde, Bardelli, Casa Dolce Casa, Cotto d’Este, Fap, Floor Gres, Giovanni De Maio, ImolaCeramica, Keope, Litokol, Mirage, Mosaico+, Petracer’s, Refin, Sant’Agostino and Vogue.

The collective stand designed by Dante Donegani and Giovanni Lauda will be back at Maison & Objet 2012, lending unique appeal to the Italian presence following the very positive experience at Sia Guest in Rimini. The stand (hall 8, stand D109-E110) covers a total surface area of 270 square metres and testifies not only to the importance of the French market but also to Confindustria Ceramica’s commitment to supporting a key sector of Italian industry.

France is the Italian ceramic tile industry’s largest export market. According to figures to 30 September 2011, Italy shipped 42.6 million square metres of tiles to France with a value of 547 million euro, 19.5% of total Italian exports.

First launched in 1995 and held twice yearly, Maison & Objet is one of the most important events in the home sector and stands out in particular for its focus on decorative styles and new trends. It is an outstanding opportunity to get a preview of upcoming trends in the field of materials, design and colours and in the use of various stylistic and architectural elements. The exhibition is divided into eight halls devoted to different styles, including ethnic, home textiles, tableware, art and craft, decoration and home accessories.
