Imagine.Do.Kerlite, the installation by Cotto d’Este during the Fuorisalone 2017
Date:April 20, 2017
On occasion of the 2017 Fuorisalone, Cotto d’Este’s showroom was transformed into an exhibition gallery in order to illustrate, through an installation entitled Imagine.Do.Kerlite, the infinite possibilities of the latest laminated porcelain stoneware products. This past 4-9 April, in Cotto d’Este’s showroom on Piazza Castello, the international audience of Milan’s Design Week was captivated by the installation and the play with architectural elements and light used together to excite and engage the public and to represent Kerlite – the latest in laminated porcelain stoneware, whose strong points are its versatility and ease of use – as a decorative element and reference point in the architectural landscape, worldwide. The event’s partner and curator of the lighting design was Studio Asia which, for the installation, used lights by Aldabra-Emeride, a company specialized in the design and manufacture of LED architectural lighting fixtures for interiors and exteriors. This refined combination of architecture and light gave rise to an artistic piece which used Kerlite and high efficiency light sources to recreate a true material sculpture.
